About us

The Brand

Welcome to Thomas Goss. Our wines are a tribute to one of the original pioneers of McLaren Vale, Thomas Goss (1810-1890), and his family. Thomas, along with his wife Mary Ann (1813-1891) and eight children, migrated to South Australia from Devonshire, England in 1849. After achieving success in the Victorian goldfields, Thomas took the opportunity to establish an iconic farming property in the heart of McLaren Vale called "Gedney". In 1855, he built a two-story homestead named "Ingleburne". Today, Ingleburne is a historical landmark and a testament to his pioneering spirit.

As caretakers of this historic estate, we take pride in sharing Thomas Goss' story through our wines. Our winemaking team has been crafting Thomas Goss wines in a range of classic McLaren Vale styles since 2013. Our wines are now available in over 13 countries worldwide.

Experience the rich heritage of McLaren Vale through our everyday wines and pay homage to the pioneers who paved the way for the region.
